The Voluntary Transformation
Your story, notwithstanding the elementary writing, gives me a glimmer of hope You see, because my problem is this: after all these many years of being the ⌠only one÷ and leading a singular life as a vegetarian, I can hardly wait for a knight to appear and sweep me right off my flimsy convictions to lead me straight into the elite circle. Like you, I want to be voluntarily transformed, transformed into being a part of the crowd. Any takers?

What a cynical story! The girl is so cynical and the guy such a hypocrite. Imagine...they have to spend the rest of their lives together! What is the author trying to convey to the readers, anyways? That the girl atlast realized what she was missing? What a stupid story.

I guess the bottom line is that INDIANS are the confused lot, sitting on the fence between Culture and Conservativeness on one side and Uptown values and unscrupulousness on the other. Unfortunately each side has those 'pair-ed' entities that cannot be broken.

oh, please...why does this MATTER??? Go to any Hindi film- u'll find that the whites r all immoral, sex-crazed alcoholics. i watch those movies, giggle conspirationally at the anti-gora jokes & then go eat shepherd's pie with my charming scottish neighbours (married for 30 years- take just an occasional glass of wine)
grow up, whoever wrote this article! and grow a sense of humour while ur about it.yeesh- have u seen 'Gone with the wind'? one of the greatest movies ever made- Rhett 'killed a nigger for being uppity'. but because we're clever, rational people who see things in proportion we adore scarlett & rhett & ignore the racism as some of the tarnish of the time it was made which the best of movies cannot avoid.
I've just read through this email & realised that it makes be sound like the kind of crude bigot I despise. Please. If u enjoy seeing racism everywhere & it doesn't hurt anyone go ahead. I enjoy writing mean-minded emails like this, come to that, because I know no one seriously cares about what I write so itz not going to hurt anyone.
But please- if it really cuts u to think of these things & it hurts u to think that these things are racist THEN lighten up a little- if it genuinely hurts u, u need to. Sorry if I've offended anyyone. I don't mean to condemn u at all- if this is the spice of life to u think whatever u like- eveyone's got their myths they need to live by (I for e.g. NEED to think that people actually care what I say in reply to an obscure article, by an obscure gentleman on a well-maybe not-so-obscure website) Sorry again.
